Massage therapy is intended to support proper soft tissue function. enhance relaxation, reduce pain, increase range of motion, improve circulation, and offer a positive experience of touch. The massage therapist does not diagnose illness, disease, or any other physical or mental disorders. As such, the massage therapist does not prescribe medical treatment outside massage therapy nor do they perform spinal manipulations.
Clients understand that massage therapy is a medical treatment but is not a substitute for emergency or urgent medical care or diagnoses and it is recommended to see a qualified healthcare professional for any ailments that they may have.
• It is the responsibility of the client to keep the clinic informed of any current medical conditions or any changes in health and provide written permission (if under care) from a physician to the clinic before each session.
• The client will come to the massage therapy appointment clean.
• If any pain or discomfort is experienced during the session, the client will immediately communicate with the therapist so the treatment can be adjusted. (Therapeutic work can be uncomfortable -though it does not need to be- and may recreate some of the complaint symptoms but should never exceed a 7 out of 10 on the individual client’s pain and discomfort scale.)
• Sickness--both the therapists and client are vulnerable to infections. Therefore, clients and the therapist are asked to reschedule appointments when they are feeling unwell. (A doctor or nurse’s note indicating acute illness will waive fees associated with less than 48hr cancellation/reschedule policy.)
• For the comfort of the therapist and other clients who may have allergies, please refrain from wearing strong fragranced products to your appointment.
• Payment is due in full at the time of service--cash, card, or booking credit.
• Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to keep treatment time within your original appointment time. Full payment for your scheduled session will be charged.
